Downloaded them demo yesterday, not tried it yet but it looks really cool.

Set in Mexico city in 2013 you're part of the ultimate elite using the latest military technology to improve your efficiency on the battlefield using continously updated intel and advanced weaponry.

The screenshots look gorgeous and the videos look cool, apparently the system requirements are pretty high though, not looked at them yet.

Anyone tried it? How does it run on your system?

I tried it over the weekend and I'm able to run it at 1680x1050 with everything maxed out without any stutters or frames dropping at all. It's quite good and the demo is decent. Rig in sig.

Bah, it's not that demanding at all, it autodetected all settings max on my system@800x600 resolution. Played through the demo without a hitch (not ONE noticable slowdown), I could probably go up to 1024x768 (which could be useful, visual info over long range is quite important).

This is an interesting quote from Gamespot: "The amount of area you can explore in each mission in this version of the game is noticeably larger than the corresponding mission in the Xbox 360 version--there's also more detail given to each building, leading to more nooks and doorways that you can take cover in."

What? I thought the Xbox360 was supposed to be powerful, but MY humble PC even rivals it!? What's up with that

The game feels quite nice, but it's really important to use a good strategy when advancing (or defending) and to use the intel via the Cross-Com intelligently. Apparently a lot more so then in the Xbox360 version according to Gamespots review. This takes some getting used to (getting used to the interface and such) but during the end of the demo I was starting to get a hang on it.

Overall definitely worth checking out.

Yeah the AI is kind of strange, they behave pretty well during firefights, but seem a bit shaky at other times.

not to change the subject.. or maybe i am mooohahahaha... anyways ya PM your system still out powers the xbox by quite abit. i have one myself and its not that impressive really compared to my pc but i love it for its console expreince like sports games and racingand arcade fighting u know that type of thing that a pc really cant deliver on

Outpowers the XBox 360!? That's absolutely absurd... a completely new console should be a proper powerpackage! The old XBox wasn't a slouch when it came out (although reaaaally dated now), custom Nvidia GPU with performance and features better then anything on the market.

My PC is really getting aged now I mean, the only things that are somewhat fresh are my graphics card, my soundcard and my G5 mouse... the rest is over 3 years old and should be ancient in performance terms. Kept floating by overclocking basically.

Oh well, have you tried the game then?

I have the full game. :D It's so fun. I actually like the Ageia PhysX software...it's not bad. I seriously need a new video card though, my 6800 NU hardly keeps up with firefights and explosions.

The Xbox 360 version probably won't be as good as top-of-the-line GPU's like the 7900's or X1900's, but the graphics are still damn nice. It also has really good framerates, which is a must for consoles because end-users can't tweak the hardware or anything.

the x-box 360 has a ati graphics card not n-vidia just had to let u know :)
I was talking about the original X-Box... it had a GPU that was way ahead of the top-of-the-line PC cards at the time. Of course PC always catches up, but if what you're saying of the 360 is true, it's a piece of shit basically.

lmao IMO the 360 is about as good as 9800 series. look at most games. there is barley if none antilsiing or filtering. thats how they get it to have smooth fps. like i said i have one with graw and cod2. ive compared them both side by side

i said if u look at the hardware, never played games on XBOX 360, i just looked at some reviews about the hardware and it was a very nice set-up, thats all

i played on one in a shop and it has a very powerful ati gpu wich definatly kicks arse out of anything below an x1800xl and 2gig athlon 64 with 1gig pc3200. i've had loads of systems and i was basically impressed with the rendering monster that is the x-box 360. personally i cant stand console's any more...... i just love playing real games on my pc!!!

I own a xbox360 + GRAW, it looks very good, but if you look closer, you will see that the details on the walls and drawing distance is much better in the PC version. With the new patch it's a very good game to play and i like it more than the 360 version. Especially coop-play on a lanparty owns ! Really some good action and physics !

Just my 2 cents ;)

Get the latest patch. It'll work kinda blurry but it's better than none :)

Just bought this game, plays beautifully on my X1950PRO. Really atmospheric graphics, nice control system. This is like a first person perspective version of Full Spectrum Warrior, but with everything improved, well impressed. The physics are nicely done too, even without one of those flashy Aegia cards, the way the enemy fall when you hit them is amazing, spinning in response to the place where the round hit.

Now thats what I call a challenge! Can't imagine its done much good for US Army recruitment though, especially with the news reports driving the message home how hard it is to fight in a built up area!

Yep its tricky alright.

Im only on mission 2 and Im struggling to keep the entire team alive.

The AI seems pretty poor though - my squad seem to wander around like they're on a family outing.

Im looking forward to the next mission (I think its the one in the shanty village in the dusk) Im sure its going to look great, although on my old Barton and NV 5900XT it didnt as I had to run it at 8x6 with the detail levels right down)

Anyone actually complete this game?
